A year in recovery

Today marks one year since the launch of the Culture Recovery Fund, which was setup up to help protect arts, culture, and heritage from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, over £2 billion has been invested across these vital sectors.

The RAD sustained significant losses during lockdown but was the recipient of two rounds of funding which have allowed us to continue our work to support our teachers and students and to promote the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through dance – especially through RAD@Home.

We are hugely grateful to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, the Arts Council, and the Culture Recovery Fund for their support and for allowing us to keep on teaching the world to dance.
