Benesh Exams is an exciting new initiative enabling students to develop skills in writing, reading, construction and comprehension through Benesh Movement Notation.
The format includes a portfolio of work, along with practical and verbal demonstration in response to unseen content, facilitating a unique display of knowledge from candidates.
The pilot exams will be offered across four levels giving a clear system for progression. There are no prerequisites for any level.
The exams are recommended for learners aged 9+, accessible to vocational students, university students, dance teachers, examiners and professionals, as well as those with an interest in dance notation and research.

Benesh Exams Discovery Day
Benesh International are holding a Benesh Exams Discovery Day on May 25, 2020 (8 hours CPD for RAD teachers).
During this one day workshop, participants will be learn how Benesh Exams can be delivered to a wide variety of students in different formats. Participants will be shown how to include aspects of the Benesh Exams into their regular ballet classes, how to prepare their students for the exams, and how the exams are assessed. Participants will also have opportunity to try out learning and teaching approaches which will support students in developing their BMN skills.
