The Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition 2020

Royal Opera House, London, UK

The Fonteyn attracts the finest young dancers trained by RAD teachers from around the globe, to compete on a world stage. Alumni have gone on to careers with some of the most respected international ballet companies including The Royal Ballet.

The competition will be held for the first time at the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden. Candidates are coached by an international faculty before competing in the semi-finals at the Linbury Theatre on 2 & 3 September. The finalists will dance in front of an esteemed panel of judges, including Dame Darcey Bussell DBE, in a spectacular performance on the main stage on 5 September.

100 Years of Ballet

Valletta, Malta

The Mediterranean Conference Centre

RAD Malta will host an evening of dance featuring promising dancers in training across Malta and Gozo. Soloists will present their work alongside a divertissement of group pieces featuring different dance genres. Two medallists from the Genée International Dance Competition will perform during the finale.
