UK employee benefits

Permanent RAD staff enjoy a range of benefits.

These include:

  • Bupa health cash plan
    Employees join the Bupa health cash plan scheme after six months service.
  • Childcare vouchers
    Vouchers are provided in conjunction with our partner, Computershare Voucher Services Limited.
  • Cycle to Work
    Employees are able to purchase bicycles and safety equipment through a cycle to work scheme.
  • Discounts
    Employees are entitled to discounts on purchases from the Royal Academy of Dance Enterprises Ltd and RAD Dance School.
  • Flexible working scheme
    With the consent of their line manager, employees may start work at any time between 08.00 – 10.00 (Monday – Friday) and finish any time between 16.00 – 18.00 (Monday – Thursday) and 16.00 – 17.30 (Friday).
  • Group pension 
    All employees are eligible to join the RAD’s contributory pension scheme.
  • Teachers' pension
    The teachers’ pension scheme is available to academic employees in the Faculty of Education.
  • Aviva Life Assurance
    Employees join the Aviva Life Assurance scheme after six months service.
  • Holidays
    Employees receive 25 days paid holiday per year (pro rata if working part-time), plus public holidays. The holiday calendar runs from 1 January – 31 December.
  • Interest-free season ticket loan
    Employees who have passed their probationary period may request an interest-free loan for a work-related purchase (e.g. annual season ticket or training).
