GCSE Dance Course Fees

GCSE Dance course fees can be paid for the whole academic year or in three instalments.

Please note that fees will be subject to annual review for the year 2024/25.

A £50 non-refundable deposit is payable to secure a place on the course. This will be due when written confirmation of your place has been given. The deposit will be deducted from the course fees when payment for the first term or academic year is due.

Bursaries

We are delighted to be able to offer a number of bursaries for the 2024/25 academic year, to support with tuition fee costs. To apply for this, please download, complete and return the Bursary Application Form to dancestudies@rad.org.uk.

Applications must be received by 31 July 2024.

Additional Expenses

The GCSE course fees do not include the following additional expenses:

• An external awarding body (AQA) entry fee. The fee for 2023/24 is £53.45
• A transferred candidate fee (AQA). The transferred candidate fee for summer 2024 is £39.55. This fee is applied when, due to exceptional circumstances, a student takes an exam at a centre other than that at which they are entered
• Any extra coaching after the first 40 hours outlined in the fees table above (year 2 only). Additional coaching may be required as a result of poor attendance.

Theatre Trips

During the course, trips and workshops are arranged which require an extra fee. In previous years these have included visits to watch Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake and Nutcracker, Alvin Ailey Dance Company at Sadler’s Wells.
