Step Around Town 2023

An series of uplifting and energetic evenings of dance based in different borough across London.

The performances are a chance to see the array of work from schools on the Step into Dance programme, as well as appearances by guest performers and our Youth Company, SYNC.

Dance Teacher, Highams Park School said: “Our students had a wonderful time at Step Around Town, Haringey 2023 and it was so lovely to be a part of. It was greatly inspiring for our students who participated, and wonderful as staff members to see our students in a really supportive environment where they were able to perform and meet like minded students. We hope to be part of it again in the future. Thank you so much again.”

Mayor of Wandsworth, April 2023 said: “Enjoyed my first visit to the Royal Academy of Dance in Battersea to attend the young dancers’ performance of Step Around Town, Wandsworth. Classical, street and freestyle dance. Energetic, elegant, rhythmic and exuberant. Thank you”

Information for Schools

Schools on our 20, 33, 49.5 and 66 hour packages can participate in Step Around Town at no extra cost. You will still need to register for your preferred event in order to attend.

Schools on our 6 or 12 hour packages will be invoiced an additional £30 to perform.

Schools that participate in Step Around Town will be considered for selection to perform at Step Live Festival.

Information for audience members

To keep the event as accessible as possible we won’t be charging a set price for tickets. We welcome donations on the door from those who can afford to contribute. Tickets for Step Around Town cannot be purchased in advance, so please ensure you arrive promptly to secure a seat. Doors will open at 6.45pm for a 7pm start.
