Celebrating 90 years of the RAD in Australia

To celebrate the Royal Academy of Dance’s 90th anniversary in Australia, we’re launching a new initiative: 90 Stories Across 90 Years.

As part of this project, we’re collecting 90 personal stories from across the Australian RAD community — students, teachers, examiners, staff, volunteers, and supporters — to showcase the people, places, and moments that have shaped the RAD in Australia over the past 90 years. These will be featured in a commemorative book and may also be highlighted at our celebration later this year.

Whether it’s the memory of your very first RAD exam, a teacher who changed the course of your life, a proud studio achievement, or a cherished moment within your local dance community—we want to hear it. We welcome all submissions but are particularly keen to encourage those from Australians living or working overseas,
