Dance Workshop: Focus on Martha Graham

Royal Academy of Dance is excited to be able to offer students the chance to work with a professional artist, Diane Cavero a graduate of the Martha Graham School in NYC.

This is an opportunity to develop skills, understanding, and awareness of dynamic modern dance.

Would you like to experience a day of contemporary training?
Spend the day taking class with like-minded dancers, learning and gaining an insight into the Martha Graham repertoire through exercises and choreography. This fun, collaborative day will encourage you to explore your technical, creative and performance skills.

Timings: 10.00am – 4.00pm
10am – 11.30am: Technique Class
11.30am – 12.30pm: Martha Graham Repertoire Extracts
12.30pm – 1.30pm: Lunch break
1.30pm – 3.30pm: Composition and Creative class
3.30pm – 4pm: Sharing of work

Saturday 15 February, or
Sunday 16 February

Who can attend?
On Saturday, we welcome adult students (age 18+) with Vocational Graded dance experience, studying RAD Intermediate Foundation – Advanced 2, or the equivalent.

The Sunday is suited to students aged 13 years and above, with some prior dance training. Ideal for students working towards a GCSE and A Level dance qualification.

Places are strictly limited per class.

Please ensure you check the ticket details carefully. If the ticket you wish to book appears sold out, please apply online for the Waiting List Ticket, specifying which time slot you wish to attend. The Student Activities Team will contact you should a suitable place become available.
