Psychological Wellbeing for Dancers (Interactive Webinar)
For those who have been working in the field of dance for some time, you will appreciate how much the issue of mental wellbeing has become an area of concern. Although it is not the remit of a dance teacher to be a doctor or counsellor, it is important that we are aware of mental health issues in order to prevent or manage the escalation of problems linked to mental health. This interactive webinar intends to highlight the causes and symptoms of some key psychological disorders, with discussions surrounding prognosis and treatments.
The aim of this interactive webinar is to increase the awareness of psychological disorders more commonly experienced by dancers, and offer courses of action for dance teachers.
On completion of the interactive webinar, you will:
- have an understanding of the symptoms of psychological disorders most linked to dancers
- be aware of some of the conditions that may lead to such disorders
- be able to consider how to manage issues relating to mental wellbeing within your dance practice
