RAD Dance Challenge – Graded Candidates

A multi-level, national competition where candidates will be judged on the performance of a solo, choreographed by themselves, their teacher or peer. This competition gives candidates the opportunity to be part of a creative process and to perform in front of an audience.

We invite you to observe and enjoy the wonderful young talent on show at this years RAD Dance Challenge for Graded students.

Level 1 

Candidates studying RAD Grade 3 or 4 who have passed RAD Grade 2 and 3 or have taken their Grade 2 or 3 exam in the spring session 2019. Must be 14 years or under at the 1st of January 2019.

Level 2

Candidates studying RAD Grade 5-8 (must not be studying or have taken RAD Intermediate Foundation or Intermediate) Must be 16 years or under at the 1st of January 2019.

Prize

The winner from each level will receive a certificate.

Inaugurated in 2015, the Jean Bedells Choreographic Award of £500 will be given to one winner across both levels. This has been made possible by funding generously provided by Jennifer Borgnis and Jeremy Newton.
