The Fonteyn: Creative Spaces (London)
Join us for a week-long course to share some of The Fonteyn candidates’ experiences with ballet classes and repertoire coaching.
If you’re currently studying the RAD Intermediate, Advanced Foundation, Advanced 1 or Advanced 2 syllabi, or equivalent, this is an ideal way to enhance your skills and unlock your creative potential.
You’ll get to work with inspiring faculty from the RAD and Rambert Grades, to develop your technical and artistic skills and build your knowledge of classical and contemporary repertoire.

You should currently be studying the RAD Vocational Graded ballet syllabus at Intermediate up to Advanced 2.

Classes
Each morning or afternoon, you will participate in:
- a non-syllabus ballet technique class
- classical repertoire coaching
- contemporary technique and repertoire coaching
Contemporary coaching with Rambert Grades
Discover the Rambert Grades syllabus through a guided journey led by Rambert Grades teaching artist, Dylan Jones.
Participating students will experience discovery of the movement ‘fundamentals’ before learning a solo created for the syllabus by renowned choreographer, Hofesh Shechter. Dancers will be encouraged to focus on their personal strengths and establish their own creative voice as they gain an understanding of the Rambert Grades approach to contemporary dance training and education.
Times
You will be eligible for either the morning session or afternoon session according to your current level of study.
Morning Session: Intermediate and Advanced Foundation
9.30am – 1.30pm BST: Monday – Thursday
9.30am – 3.00pm BST: Friday (includes a sharing)
Afternoon Session: Advanced 1 and 2
2.30 – 6.45pm BST: Monday – Thursday
3.00 – 6.45pm BST: Friday (includes a sharing)
