The Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition - semi-finals

The semi-finals of the competition offer a chance to see all candidates perform on stage across three days, held for the first time in the Aud Jebsen Studio Theatre at our new headquarters.

During the first day of the Semi-Finals, each candidate will take part in a Classical Class, taught live on stage with live accompaniment.

On the second day, each candidate will perform their Dancer’s Own variation – a piece choreographed by themselves, their teacher or a peer to a piece of music of their choice.

On the third and final day, each candidate will perform a Classical Repertoire variation with live accompaniment.

At the end of the semi-finals Day 3, the finalists will be announced live on stage.
