London Summer School 2019 (London)
Our Summer Schools let you develop your skills while trying out new styles of dance. Each week closes with an open day to celebrate your achievements.

General sales open Wednesday 12 December 2018 at 12pm (GMT).

Who can attend?

Students aged 8-18, studying RAD Grade 2, or the equivalent and above

2019 Dates

Week 1: Monday 15 – Saturday 20 July
Week 2: Monday 22 – Saturday 27 July
Week 3: Monday 29 July – Saturday 3 August
Week 4: Monday 5 - Saturday 10 August

Students are permitted to attend either one or two weeks (consecutive or non-consecutive).

Ballet, Group dance/repertoire, Creative dance, Musical Theatre and singing

Week 2
Ballet, Group dance/repertoire, Creative dance,  street Jazz and Yoga

Week 3
Ballet, Group dance/repertoire, Creative dance, Musical Theatre and singing

Week 4
Ballet, Group dance/repertoire, Creative dance, Hip Hop and Yoga


As a guide, each day (Monday-Friday) will run from: 9am-3:30pm or 10am-4:30pm. Tuition hours will vary on Saturday for the parent open day. A full timetable will be included in the Information Pack sent to all attendees following the closing date.


All residential students will be required to register for the Summer School at the accommodation on the Sunday afternoon between 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Please see the accommodation address below.

All non-residential students will be required to register for the Summer School  at the RAD headquarters on Monday morning at 9am. Please see the studio address below.


A light buffet lunch is provided Monday-Friday, including snacks and drinks.

Theatre trip

Includes a ticket to a West End show one evening and ice cream during the interval.

A disco and games night is held on the Thursday night of each week.

A residential accommodation option at Roehampton University is available for students aged 9 and above for an additional fee. Please ensure you select the correct Tuition & Accommodation ticket for the week(s) you wish to attend when booking.

Accommodation fee includes

  • en-suite single rooms
  • internet access
  • breakfast and evening meals each day
  • coach transfers to and from RAD headquarters. A private coach will transport residential students to and from the RAD each day, with chaperones and a housemother in attendance during their stay

Accommodation fee for two consecutive weeks also includes room, transport and meals for the middle weekend.

Tuition Awards

One tuition award will be presented to a student (at any level) who has shown significant improvement at each RAD Summer School in the UK. The award is one week’s tuition at an RAD Summer School in 2019 or 2020.


Sibling discounts: Two sibling students get 10% off total cost of tuition fee, and three or more sibling students get 20% off total cost of tuition fees.
Group discounts: A 10% discount will be applied to the total cost of tuition fees for groups of 10 or more students within the same price band. For groups of 10 or more students please contact the Student Activities Team to secure your places by emailing . Please note, group bookings are limited to 15 students per group per week.
Multiple booking discount: A 10% discount will be applied to the total cost of tuition fees for any single participant booking two or more summer events at the same time.

Discounts will be checked, calculated and verified following your booking submission and the amount refunded directly.

Please ensure you check the ticket details carefully. If the ticket you wish to book appears sold out, please apply online for the Waiting List Ticket, specifying which ticket type you wish to purchase. The Student Activities Team will contact you should a suitable place become available.
