Silver Swans Taster Workshop (London)
Get a taste of our specially designed dance classes for the older learner. Open, fun and accessible, these classes will help improve your mobility, posture, coordination, and energy levels, no matter how old you are.

Who can attend?

Older students, recommended for age 55 and above.


We have two general level classes taking place at the same time, each class is an hour long.

11.00am - 12.00pm (midday)


Group A: Taught by Silver Swans Licensee, Lucy Clay. Lucy holds a regular class from 11:00 - 12:00 on Thursdays, at Fresh Ground, Battersea Rise, SW11.

Group B: Taught by Silver Swans Licensee, Judy Fitt-Dixon. Judy teaches a regular class on a Tuesday at The Age Concern Hall, Oxford Road North, Chiswick, London.

Following class there will be refreshments and cakes and the opportunity to speak with the teachers about their weekly Silver Swans classes.

There is also the option to be part of the audience for the Phyllis Bedells Bursary. In front of you and a panel of two judges, students will dance a non-syllabus class at Advanced 1 level, followed by the performance of a Dancer’s Own and one Classical Repertoire variation, from 1.00 - 4.00pm. Tickets are offered to Silver Swans workshop participants at the lower price of £10, ordinarily tickets are £18.50.
