Students will stay in single ensuite accommodation.

During the Performance Course, students will stay in single / twin ensuite rooms.

Students can request to either share a room with their friend (Performance Course only) or request to be placed in a room near to a friend (London Summer Schools).

These requests should be made on the application forms. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests but there may be times when this is not possible.

Activities will be arranged for all students. These may include a disco, a theatre trip to a West-End show, and a DVD night.

During the remaining evenings, chaperones are likely to arrange informal activities. These are likely to be based at the accommodation or in the local area.

Unfortunately, the RAD is not able to arrange additional nights at the accommodation for any students enrolled on any of the Summer Schools or Performance Course.

Please note that accommodation cannot be booked for the weekend between London Summer School Week 3 and the Performance Course, for any student attending both courses.

The RAD is unable to arrange for parents, teachers or group leaders to stay at student accommodation.

Should you wish to stay with your students, you should your own accommodation and enrol the students as Non-Residential, day students. You will also be responsible for bringing and collecting the students to and from the RAD each day.

A full information pack will be sent to all students before the start of the course containing a detailed uniform checklist.

Please read this carefully and adhere to it as closely as possible.

Guests are invited on the final day of the Summer School to watch classes or a short demonstration of work studied.

For the Performance Course, all students will be working towards two public performances which will be held at the end of the course. Tickets will be available from the RAD Training Department.

We have a lot of international students and ask that you identify your English level on the application form.

We will pass this information on to teaching Faculty and chaperones prior to the course. We will try to place students with basic English with a chaperone who can speak their language or with other students from the same country.

All RAD summer courses attract a large number of international students.

Last year students attended from over 20 different countries.

An award will be given to a student who has made significant improvement during each Summer School and Performance Course.

The award is for one week’s tuition at an RAD Summer School or Performance Course in 2014 or 2015. The recipient will be selected by the teaching Faculty and the judge’s decision is final.
