FoE Open Day

31 Oct 2013 / Tags: Faculty of Education, Higher education

A report from the Faculty of Education Open Day 31st October 2013.

In the morning, attendees listened to a range of presentations delivered by FoE staff covering areas such as finding the right programme of study for your needs, how to apply for FoE programmes of study, how applications are assessed and student support services. Attendees were given a tour of RAD headquarters with opportunities to observe practical dance classes on the BA Ballet Education programme. During lunch (provided by the FoE), potential students and parents were able to ask questions of FoE staff and students. In the afternoon, potential students participated in two practical sessions covering choreography and ballet technique.

“I liked that I was able to observe a real class and the teacher was lovely. The course talks were very informative and helpful.  All the staff were extremely helpful.”

“I enjoyed meeting all the staff and taking part in classes. It was also great to watch the Level 6 girls in their performance class.”

“I enjoyed speaking to students and hearing about their experiences on the courses”

As well as finding out more about the RAD and the Faculty of Education, attendees receive a RAD ‘goodie bag’ with plenty of information to follow up on the day’s events, a 20% discount voucher to spend in the RAD shop and a very useful academic diary for 2013/14.
