Ida Levine
BA JD
Chair of Fundraising and Development Subcommittee
Ida Levine was introduced to the RAD at the Dame Antoinette Sibley Luncheon in 2012. She helped launch RAD’s fundraising effort in 2014. Donations from the inaugural event, the QEII Coronation Award Gala at Claridge’s Hotel raised over £70,000 and enabled the RAD to create the Dame Darcey Bussell Genée Bursary Scheme. The scheme has awarded bursaries to broaden participation in the Genée since 2015.
Ida currently serves on the RAD Board of Trustees and chairs its Development and Fundraising committee. The committee aims to fund a wider range of RAD charitable activities and raise capital for the new headquarters. She is also a member of the Finance, audit & risk subcommittee.
Her love of ballet began as a young child, training in ballet in her hometown of Los Angeles. She came to London in 1983, and her career took a different turn when she became a corporate lawyer and served as a director with a global investment firm.
Ida remains passionate about ballet and is an enthusiastic RAD Silver Swan enjoying the wonderful ballet offering here in the UK.
