The President’s Circle

The President’s Circle has been formed in tribute to the inspiration of Founding President Dame Adeline Genée and her successors: Dame Margot Fonteyn, Dame Antoinette Sibley and Darcey Bussell CBE.

Join a group of people who are committed to the future of our young dancers, choreographers and teachers – and help the Royal Academy of
Dance in its vital work in training and nurturing the dance talents of the future.
All subscriptions and donations are used to benefit the Academy’s work. Members receive special invitations to Royal Academy of Dance events, enabling them to forge closer links with our work.

These include:

  • invitations to rehearsals, performances and masterclasses,
  • personal involvement in some of the Academy’s most prestigious
    competitions,
  • social events, talks and lectures with noted dancers and choreographers, with our Chairman, Chief Executive, Artistic
Director or current President, Darcey Bussell, and
  • membership of the RAD’s Friends scheme, including copies of our
    prestigious magazine Dance Gazette.

Help us to provide bursaries for gifted young dancers from disadvantaged backgrounds; special outreach programmes that bring dance to those who would otherwise be unable to participate; and to provide the standard of excellence upon which the next generation of dancers and choreographers depend.

  • If you mark the Gift Aid tick box below, for every £500 donated, the Academy can reclaim £125 from the Inland Revenue. Membership of The President’s Circle is available for a charitable donation of £3,000:
