Aims

The aims of this course are to:

  • develop an understanding of what to do in specific situations, and
  • provide the necessary tools to help casualties in the community.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • describe the actions to take and what not to do if an individual is experiencing suicidal thoughts and displaying suicidal behaviours,
  • identify when someone is having a panic attack,
  • identify ways to support someone displaying suicidal thoughts or behaviours,
  • list symptoms of psychosis, and
  • define what is meant by flashbacks.
