Lecturer in Dance Education – PGCE:DT Programme Manager
Background
Gemma joined the Faculty of Education in September 2018. Since graduating from Middlesex University in 2005, Gemma has worked as a professional dance artist performing in television, film, and theatre productions worldwide. After completing her PGCE with QTS at the Royal Academy of Dance, Gemma worked as a Teacher of Dance for a selective Performing Arts Academy for students aged 14-19 years, with an aptitude for Dance and Musical Theatre. As a Lecturer in Dance Education, she teaches across multiple programmes, and has a special interest in the transition between professional performing and dance teaching.
