Mrs Margarita Andreou

RAD Examiner, Registered Teacher

Margarita Andreou’s passion for dance and psychology has led her on an impressive academic and professional journey. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and Dance from Deree College at The American College of Greece, as well as an M.A. in Dance Studies from the University of Surrey in the UK.

Ms. Andreou’s expertise in dance extends far beyond the classroom. In 1992, she co-founded the dance group Roes in Cyprus, where she served as both choreographer and dancer until 2002. Through Roes, she has collaborated with well-known artists in Cyprus, including composers, actors, and directors. Her group also represented Cyprus at the Biennale of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean in Lisbon in 1994 and in Rome in 1999.

With over four decades of experience as a dance teacher, Andreou has honed her skills and shared her love of movement with countless students. Her dedication to the art of dance is further demonstrated by her role as a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Examiner since 2009. In this prestigious position, she has evaluated and supported the development of aspiring dancers, ensuring the highest standards of dance education.

Throughout her career, Margarita Andreou has seamlessly blended her academic training in psychology and dance, fostering a unique and holistic understanding of the discipline. Her wealth of experience, both in the studio and the classroom, has made her an invaluable asset to the dance community.
