Join the excitement for the new RAD’s Musical Theatre Syllabus with our next Musical Theatre Introductory Training in Vancouver!
Explore the RAD’s brand‑new Musical Theatre syllabus in a dedicated three‑day Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course designed to equip teachers with the skills, insight, and confidence to deliver this exciting new genre.
Across three days, the course covers how to deliver singing, acting and dancing in your classes, with a view to preparing your students for exams and group awards. You don’t necessarily need to have had previous experience in all three areas: you will take away the skills and confidence to incorporate this exciting new genre into your studio.
RAD Registered Teachers must attend and complete the full course in order to enter students for RAD Musical Theatre exams, making this an essential step for anyone planning to embrace this new business opportunity and be one of the first to enter students for exams!
Attendees can arrive from 8:30am to mingle and chat, and the course will begin at 9:00am.
This ticket includes:
- A three day course with in-person attendance.
- Your own copy of the new RAD Musical Theatre Syllabus book.
- 20 hours of Time-Valued CPD.
Further regional CPD opportunities will be available throughout 2026/27. If you want to be at the forefront of this new chapter in RAD’s artistic journey, this is the moment to join in!

Tammy McVicar
Tammy McVicar is a dance educator, choreographer and tap/musical theatre specialist with more than 30 years of teaching experience. A graduate and former faculty member of Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, Tammy has dedicated her career to developing technically strong, creative and confident performers, with a particular focus on musical theatre, tap and performance. She is also a member of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance.
Tammy is the Studio Coordinator, Musical Theatre and Tap Instructor at Vanleena Dance Academy in North Vancouver, where she works with dancers from early years through advanced levels, including specialized programming for neurodiverse students. Ms. McVicar is passionate about bringing out the best in every student and believes that every dancer has something unique to offer. She especially enjoys helping students who may not always see their own potential discover their strengths, find their voice and truly shine. Her goal is to create an environment where students feel supported, challenged and encouraged to become the best version of themselves.
Tammy is also a newly certified Royal Academy of Dance Musical Theatre CPD Tutor and is excited to continue sharing her passion for musical theatre education while bringing the RAD Musical Theatre syllabus to life for teachers and students.
