SunDance Auditions at CCDT

2026 Audition Registration is open!

Each year Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre invites young dancers to audition for SunDance, our annual summer intensive in partnership with RAD Canada, and the upcoming Company season beginning in September.

CCDT dancers come from a variety of training, cultural, and economic backgrounds but all share a passion for the expressive power and range of modern and contemporary dance choreography that is created by leading dance artists.

Dancers also work on composition and creation of their own work, one of which is showcased during the CCDT season. 

Auditioning dancers will be considered for:
SunDance Summer Intensive July 6-24, 2026 (ages 8-19)*
CCDT Accelerated Training Program, 2026-2027 season (ages 10-14)**
CCDT Company & Apprenticeship, 2026-2027 season (ages 14-18)**

*Dancers ages 8-9 do not need to audition for SunDance, and may proceed to register for SunDance Program C.
**Participation in the SunDance Summer Intensive (July 6-24) is mandatory for dancers accepted to CCDT’s Company
and Training Programs.​​​

Note: There are NO FEES associated with participating in the audition process. If you are unable to attend auditions in-person on these dates, please consider submitting a video audition or contact Kathryn at schoolofccdt@ccdt.org to organize an in-person audition.

2026 Audition Dates:
Ages 10-13 Sunday February 22nd 10:00am – 12:00pm
Ages 14-19 Sunday March 1st 10:00am – 1:30pm.
