Tutor

Rosie Gerhard

Rosie is an experienced lecturer in Dance Studies focussing on dance history and analysis. She also teaches study skills and supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.

In 2017 Rosie set up a blog titled British Ballet Now & Then. The idea was to open a discussion of what is happening in British ballet right now and how these events connect with the past. Since then she has tackled a plethora of topics, including choreographers from Ninette de Valois to Christopher Wheeldon, dancers from Alicia Markova to Emily Suzuki, and the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on British ballet.
