This interactive webinar explores the transformative role of voice in dance education, focusing on how dynamic vocal qualities can enrich musicality, enhance student engagement and deepen artistic expression. Participants will be introduced to a range of vocal qualities, such as tone, pitch, rhythm, intensity and how they can be effectively used to support communication, musical phrasing and expressive teaching.

Grounded in the fundamentals of music and effort theory, the webinar offers practical frameworks for highlighting different aspects of the voice. Through short, practical voice-based exercises, participants will gain hands-on experience in using vocal variation to support their teaching practice. The webinar will conclude with a plenary and Q&A, encouraging reflection and peer exchange.

By the end of the session, participants will be equipped with tools to incorporate advanced vocal techniques into their dance teaching practice, fostering a more expressive, engaging and musically aware learning environment for their students.
