Joan and Monica Halliday Awards 2026

The Royal Academy of Dance is pleased to present the Joan & Monica Halliday Awards for 2026.

The Joan & Monica Halliday Awards honours the incredible contribution of RAD Life Members Joan & Monica Halliday, whilst providing exciting performance opportunities for students in New South Wales.

The Royal Academy of Dance welcomes students who are permanent residents of NSW and have passed their Grade 3, 4 or 5 RAD Exam in 2025 to enter.

Prior to submitting an entry, all candidates, parents and teachers should ensure they have read the event flyer, including the Conditions for Entry, in full. You will be required to confirm you have read, understand, and agree to abide by these Conditions prior to submitting your entry.

Preliminary Classes: 8 – 10 March 2026

Venue: RAD Australia, 20 Farrell Avenue Darlinghurst NSW 2010

Tentative Schedule (subject to change):

– Grade 3 Preliminaries: Sunday 8 March

– Grade 4 Preliminaries: Monday 9 March

– Grade 5 Preliminaries: Tuesday 10 March

Semi-Finals Classes: Wednesday 11 March 2026

Venue: RAD Australia, 20 Farrell Avenue, Darlinghurst NSW 2010

Schedule: TBA after the Closing Date (usually commencing with Grade 3, followed by Grade 4, then Grade 5)

Finals: Saturday 28 March 2026

Venue: Everest Theatre, Seymour Centre, City Road & Cleveland Street Chippendale NSW 2008
