This 1-hour interactive webinar is designed to support teachers with their knowledge and understanding of post-training nutrition requirements for optimum recovery.

Aim

The aims of this webinar are to

  • provide participants with increased confidence in teaching the variations for the Intermediate Foundation syllabus variations through enhancing their knowledge and understanding of technique, style and musicality.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this webinar, you will:

  • understand the basics of post-training nutrition requirements,
  • understand the consequences, and signs and symptoms of, lack of recovery nutrition, and
  • know strategies to support optimum recovery nutrition for dance students.

Includes a presentation, question-and-answer sessions, breakout rooms and opportunities to share your experiences with fellow teachers from around the world.

Fumi Somehara

B.Sc (Nutrition)(Hons) / B.App.Sc (Exercise and Sports Science)

Fumi is the founder and principal dietitian of DDD Centre for Recovery. She is passionate about supporting individuals to nurture respectful and compassionate relationships with their food and body. Her expertise is in Dance Nutrition and Eating Disorders Treatment. Fumi is also an executive committee member of ASPAH, a fellow of Japan Association for Eating Disorders and a lecturer for dance nutrition at Academy of Music and Performing Arts.
