Dance Performance Groups – Jacqueline Morland Awards 2025

This is your opportunity to perform in front of a live audience at Queensland’s flagship RAD event on its 30th Anniversary, the Jacqueline Morland Awards 2025.

Held annually in Brisbane, and open to RAD students across QLD and northern NSW, the Jacqueline Morland Awards are an opportunity for students to showcase their performance skills in front of a live audience and a panel of highly respected adjudicators.

For those who don’t want to participate in the competition itself, the Dance Performance Groups are an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in the Awards – learn a short performance from our guest teachers with 12 hours of tuition over 4 weekends, and then perform in front of a live audience of family and friends, at the Awards event.

Each performance group is limited to only 40 students so be quick, and register now!

The 2025 Dance Performance Groups are as follows:
Grade 1 to 3 – Character Group
Grade 4 and 5 – Classical Group
Intermediate Foundation up to Advanced Foundation – Contemporary Group

Guest Choreographers will be announced soon!

Rehearsal dates are:

• Sunday 2 March 2025
• Sunday 9 March 2025
• Sunday 16 March 2025
• Sunday 23 March 2025

Rehearsal Venue:
SJ Block Dance Studio, L’Estrange Terrace, Kelvin Grove, QLD
entrance is at GATE 1 near Queensland Ballet Academy, opposite 102 L’Estrange Terrace, Kelvin Grove.

Final Performance Venue:
Thomas Dixon Theatre, 406 Montague Rd, West End (Brisbane) – Sunday 30 March
