The Royal Academy of Dance Australia is proud to present its sixth international conference, Elevating Dance Education: Creativity, Community and Care, taking place in Sydney, 16-17 January 2027.
This year’s theme reflects RAD’s ongoing commitment to excellence in dance teaching—championing innovation, inclusivity, and wellbeing. Across the two days, delegates will explore practical teaching strategies, discover fresh ideas, and engage in meaningful conversations that support and inspire today’s dance educators.
Bringing together dance teachers, studio owners, academics, and industry professionals from across the globe, the conference offers a unique opportunity to connect, learn, and grow within a vibrant and supportive professional community.

Keynote Speaker – Li Cunxin AO
We’re delighted to welcome Li Cunxin AO—internationally acclaimed dancer, author and Vice President of the Royal Academy of Dance—as the keynote speaker for ELEVATE ’27.
From principal dancer to Artistic Director of Queensland Ballet, Li has inspired audiences worldwide through his remarkable career and unwavering commitment to dance education. His keynote will be an inspiring start to two days of learning, connection and innovation.
