Celebrating the 2024 Faculty of Education Australian Graduates

RAD Australia proudly celebrated the achievements of its 2024 Faculty of Education Australian graduates at a special ceremony held on Sunday August 17 at RAD Headquarters in Sydney.
The event honoured an inspiring cohort of dance educators from across the country who have successfully completed a range of internationally recognised training programmes through the RAD.
In 2024, 48 Australian students graduated from the Faculty of Education, representing the following programmes:
- Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS)
- Professional Dancers’ Graduate Teaching Diploma (PDGTD)
- Diploma in Dance Teaching Studies (DDTS)
- Master of Arts in Education (Dance Teaching)
The celebration brought together 31 graduates in person, accompanied by family, friends, RAD staff, and tutors. The event featured keynote speeches from guest speaker Julie Fleming, RAD Faculty of Education Tutor, and student representative Lucy Eaton, a graduate of the Master of Arts in Education.
Also in attendance were tutors Lindsay Ellman-Brown and Julia Barry, while special messages of congratulations were delivered from RAD CEO Elizabeth Honner (via video), Acting Director of Education Janine Strueli, and Artistic Director Alexander Campbell.
RAD Australia National Director Shelley Yacopetti said:
“It was wonderful to celebrate with our Australian graduates and their families, we are so proud of their achievements and look forward to supporting their teaching careers for many years to come.”
The RAD congratulates the Class of 2024 on their exceptional achievements and looks forward to supporting their continued journey as leaders in dance education.
