Syllabus Technique Live Stream CPD Courses

These practical courses will focus on the elements and pedagogy of Port de bras, Adage, Allegro, Pointe work, and Male work across the graded and vocational levels. Learning activities will centre on understanding appropriate development exercises, encouraging an accurate interpretation of the criteria used in the examination mark scheme.

You can choose which courses to attend. There are two time options for each course.

Aim

The aim of the courses is to discuss and develop strategies and development exercises to support the understanding of Port de bras, Adage, Allegro, Pointe Work, and Male work through graded and vocational levels.

Learning outcomes

On completion of the courses, you will understand:

• The physical, musical and artistic elements of Port de bras, Adage, Allegro, Pointe work, and Male work (Adage, Turns and Allegro),
• The relevance and interpretation of the assessment criteria in selected exercises, and
• How to best support learners in their development of their physical, musical and artistic demonstration of these techniques.

Platform

These courses will be hosted on Zoom. You will be sent details of how to join the activity within five working days prior to the start date of each course.

You will require the following resources:

• A computer/laptop/tablet with internet connection, a camera, microphone and speakers

These are practical courses, please ensure you have space to move and have your camera turned on to actively participate.
