Community Day 2026

Join us for our fifth annual Community Day on 21 June, at our headquarters in Battersea! 

This special event is a chance for our local community to come together to enjoy dance – whether you’re taking part or just want to watch, this event is for everyone. This year, the theme is ‘Dancing Across the World’, and we’ll be highlighting a mix of styles. 

Our dance showcase means you can enjoy performances from various groups from our local and neighbouring boroughs, perfect for the family to enjoy together. It will highlight dance styles from around the world, with Polish folk dance from Orleta, contemporary dance from the SYNC Company (from our very own Step into Dance programme), Peruvian dance from ArtPerUK, Afro-Caribbean fusion dance from IRIE! dance theatre and Flamenco dance from a community group from the Kambala Estate.  

The showcase is from 1-2pm and repeated from 3-4pm, so you can choose which one to book. In between, you’ll have the chance to try activities like African drumming, and arts and crafts workshop by The Arty-Crafty Crescent Club, or a beginner’s flamenco dance workshop.
