Silver Swans Celebration 2026

On Sunday 16 August, the RAD hosted over 150 dancers as part of the 2026 Silver Swans Celebration. Aligning with the theme of the United Nations’ International Day of Older Persons, the Celebration honours the Silver Swans community, their passion for dance and its powerful benefits.
This year, we welcomed 14 Licensees to host a wide range of workshops: from Classical Repertoire to Jazz, from Pilates to Cha Cha Cha. Every year we are inspired by their passion and creativity, and this year was no different.
We were also grateful to be joined by EncoreEast, a contemporary dance company of adult dancers. In their session, choreographer Noora Kela shared a fascinating insight into her practice before the group performed their desert-inspired piece ‘Drift’.
As well as sharing some images from the day below, we’re delighted to present a compilation of highlights from films submitted by Silver Swans teachers and dancers from around the world. These clips offer a glimpse into this wonderful global community.
Thank you to all the participants, the Licensees and Natasha Tobin and Sue Hewgill-Peterson for their continued support.
