Music scores

A number of rare, handwritten music scores can be found among the archives and special collections.

These include several by Dora Bright in the Adeline Genée archive. The Tamara Karsavina collection includes Arthur Bliss’ orchestration of Sinding’s Rhapsody, the Pas de Diane from Petipa’s Le Roi Candaule and the orchestral score for Clemens von Franckenstein’s Orientalischer Tanz.

A collection of tunes by Cesare Pugni can be found in the Keith Lester collection alongside David Paltenghi’s copy of the first four pages of Paris Alone and the handwritten version used for Le Pas de Déesses performed at the Arts Theatre Club in 1939.

An orchestral variation by A. Stcherbatcheff and various other unidentified works contribute to this unique and interesting collection of music scores.
