Our Dance School in London
RAD Dance School is based at our headquarters in Battersea, London, and offers a variety of extra-curricular dance classes for young people and adults. Whether for fun and fitness or to develop technique and skills, we provide a full timetable of classes offering something for everyone.
In light of the government announcement, to move London into Tier 2 as of Saturday 17 October, we have had to take the difficult decision that for the time-being, dance school students who are aged 18 and over will not be able to attend in person classes at RAD.
We do appreciate that this will come as a disappointment to you and it is not a decision we have come to lightly but feel that it is in accordance with the government guidance. We will of course keep this under review and inform you as soon as the situation changes.
In the meantime, we are constantly updating our page on restrictions in the UK.
What does this mean for students who are under 18?
Our understanding is that under 18’s activities involving children are still exempt as long as it is a Covid-safe venue in a Tier 2 (and Tier 3) location.
What does this mean for students who are over 18?
In Tier 2 Adults, organised indoor exercise classes are only permitted if it is possible for people to avoid mixing in with people you do not live with or share a support bubble with. This is simply not possible at RAD Dance School and therefore, to ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and our dance school community we have decided, in line with government guidance that participation in on-site classes at RAD Dance School must cease from tomorrow.
We would like to draw your attention to our existing guidance and FAQs with respect to the COVID-19, which is updated regularly.
