Become an RAD examiner
The RAD has a panel of over 200 examiners across 25 countries. Our examiners undergo a demanding selection process followed by further training and quality assurance throughout their career. This includes regular seminars for standardisation, learning new work and discussions on a wide range of topics including unconscious bias, data protection, safeguarding, and new technologies.
Examiners undergo disclosure protocols according to their country of residence and follow the policies and procedures of the RAD Examinations Board, including equal opportunities and safeguarding.
Please note that we are not currently recruiting for examiners. When we are able to recruit again, this role will be advertised on the RAD’s vacancy page.

Applying to become an RAD examiner
Becoming an RAD examiner involves following an application process with a job description and personal specification.
Recruitment happens at irregular intervals, based on the size of the current panel and examination needs.
Potential examiners are expected to attend a training programme (up to 5 weeks) and to commit to a minimum amount of examining during the year.

“Taking an exam is not just about the performing, it is also about the commitment, determination and focus.”
