Day of Dance
Day of Dance takes place in partnership with professional dance organisations and is a wonderful opportunity for your groups to experience training, meet likeminded dancers from other groups on our programme and have the opportunity to share their work with other young people.
This year we are delighted to have partnered with Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, Laine Theatre Arts and DanceEast.
Information for the Trinity Laban Day of Dance:
Each group had the opportunity to take part in a contemporary workshop, observe a professional dance class and share the choreography they had been working on in their Step into Dance sessions. This was followed by some guided feedback and a Q&A session with students in training.
Information for the Laine Theatre Arts Day of Dance:
Each group had the opportunity to take part in a Commercial or Street dance workshop, observe a professional class and share the choreography they had been working on in their Step into Dance sessions. This was followed by some guided feedback and a Q&A session with students in training.
Information for the DanceEast Day of Dance:
Each group took part in multiple practical dance workshops such as contemporary and hip-hop. They also had the opportunity to share the choreography they had been working on in their Step into Dance sessions. Groups learnt more about DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training (CAT), which can act as a stepping stone to professional dance training.
