How to become eligible
RAD Registered Teachers are recognised as having undergone the education and training to give them the skills and knowledge to teach dance. Only dance teachers who meet our professional standards can be registered with us.
There are four routes to becoming eligible for RAD RTS. These include a new route for teachers holding a recognised qualification from a different awarding body:
1. Train as a dance teacher with the us
We are a specialist dance education provider with 100 years of experience in inspiring, cultivating and supporting dance teachers around the world. We offer many different programmes offering eligibility for RAD RTS.
2. Complete our Access Route for students of honours dance degree programmes
Students or recent graduates of a degree that includes modules in dance pedagogy and ballet technique, may become eligible for RAD RTS by completing our additional training modules.
3. Complete our Access Route for students of accredited vocational dance programmes
Vocational dance students (or recent graduates) of an accredited training provider, may become eligible for RAD RTS by completing the additional training modules we offer.
4. Dance teachers recognised by another dance awarding society
Dance teachers who already have a Level 4 or equivalent dance teaching qualification (any genre) from a different awarding society, may become eligible for RAD RTS by completing CPD within their first year of membership if approved.
