Diana de Vos Awards 2026

The Royal Academy of Dance is pleased to present the 2026 Diana de Vos Awards, taking place in Perth on Sunday 15 November.

Open to eligible Western Australian RAD students from Grade 3 through to Advanced 2, the Awards give dancers the opportunity to perform in front of an audience, build confidence and gain valuable performance experience. Students take part in a syllabus or open class, with selected finalists invited to perform a dance from their examination level. A winner and runner-up will be selected at each level.

The Awards proudly honour Diana de Vos OAM, MA, FRAD, an accomplished dancer, respected educator and RAD examiner whose contribution to dance shaped generations of students and teachers in Western Australia and beyond. A former Principal Dancer with West Australian Ballet, Diana later became an influential teacher and examiner, serving as an RAD Major Examiner for 22 years and receiving the RAD President’s Award in 2012. Her legacy continues through the Awards that bear her name.

The 2026 Awards will be adjudicated by an exceptional panel of Western Australian dance artists: Polly Hilton, Sarah Hepburn and Leanne Stojmenov, whose careers span West Australian Ballet, The Australian Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, international performance and dance education.

Prizes include awards for winners and runners-up at each level, as well as Junior and Senior Overall Scholarships to RAD Autumn or Spring Intensives in 2027 and additional Artistic Awards.
