The Royal Academy of Dance is proud to present The Jacqueline Morland Awards 2026!
The Jacqueline Morland Awards are Queensland’s flagship RAD event held annually in Brisbane. Open to RAD students across QLD and northern NSW, the Awards are an opportunity to showcase your ballet skills and perform on a professional stage in front of a live audience and panel of highly respected adjudicators.
The Awards
All candidates who participate in the Awards, take part in a semi-final open class, that is performed on stage in front of a live audience of family, friends, teachers and the adjudicators. After the class, the adjudicators select and announce the finalists. Finalists return the following day to perform their chosen RAD exam dance or variation, as a solo, on stage in front of a live audience and the adjudicators. At the end of the finals the prize recipients for the Jacqueline Morland Awards are announced.
Venue
The Molly & Len Draney Theatre, Marist College Ashgrove – 142 Frasers Road, Ashgrove, QLD, 4060

Dance Performance Groups
In addition to these performances, the finals also include group performances by students who have been training with special guest choreographers. For those who don’t want to participate in the competition itself, the Dance Performance Groups are an excellent opportunity for students to be involved – learn a short performance from our guest teachers with 12 hours of tuition over 4 weekends, and then perform in front of a live audience of family and friends, at the Awards event.
