Susan Sargison Awards 2026

The Royal Academy of Dance is pleased to present the 2026 Susan Sargison Awards.

Open to eligible Tasmanian RAD students in Grades 1–5, the Awards give young dancers the opportunity to perform on stage, build confidence and gain valuable experience alongside their peers. Students take part in a syllabus class, with selected finalists invited to perform a syllabus dance before a winner and runner-up are chosen for each Grade.

Established by Susan Sargison Dip ABS, ARAD, RTS RAD, the Awards aim to support and nurture the development of young Tasmanian dancers. The overall Susan Sargison Award is valued at $1,000 and can be used towards further ballet training, RAD workshops and associated travel and accommodation expenses.

The 2026 Awards will be adjudicated by former Australian Ballet Principal Artist Amy Harris, who will also lead a ballet masterclass following the event.
