This half-day workshop focuses on the first aid management and prevention of children accidents. The First Aid Workshop (FAW) offered by Hong Kong Red Cross is designed to include first aid theory and treatment methods for common accidents in a dance room. Candidates should have 100% attendance in order to get the First Aid Workshop Attendance Certificate.

Aims

The workshop aims to give participants a good knowledge of first aid care for injuries and incidents that can happen in the dance studio. The focus will include fractures, muscle injuries, strains and sprains and other medical problems.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of workshop, you will gain first aid knowledge of:

  • Principles of First Aid & Patient Assessment
  • Bleeding and Wounds
  • Shock and Fainting
  • Medical Emergency (Asthma + Fever + Febrile Convulsion)
  • Bone, Joint and Muscle Trauma
  • Fracture Management (Practical)

Additional Information

Upon completion of the First Aid Workshop, participants would have a basic understanding of first aid, but not attaining the qualification of “Qualified First Aider”. This workshop will be conducted at the Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters. 

* Please be punctual to attend all class sessions and examinations. It will be regarded as absent if participants arrive late and leave early for more than 15 minutes during class.
