Step Around Town

• Only one piece can be performed by each school, unless you have two Step into Dance groups with different students in each group or are a host school. This is due to capacity of each venue. 

• We will require your piece title, short description, details about your music as well as a good quality copy of the music sent to us at least 6 weeks prior to the Step Around Town event you are attending. An email will be sent to you asking for this information after your registration has been confirmed. 
• Participants must be taking part in Step into Dance sessions within their school/youth group to perform at Step Around Town.

• Step into Dance groups that take part in Step Around Town will be considered to perform at our Step Live Festival on Thursday 2 July 2026 unless you indicate otherwise in the registration form. If you would like to be considered for Step Live but are unable to make any of our Step Around Town or Day of Dance events, please contact stepintodance@rad.org.uk to discuss an alternative option. 

• Schools on our 20, 33, 49.5 and 66 hour packages can participate in Step Around Town at no extra cost. You will still need to register for your preferred event in order to attend. Schools on our 12 hour packages are still eligible to participate at a cost of £35. Your school will be invoiced for this upon confirmation of signing up for the event. 

• Partner Schools who cancel out of events and/or performances with less than 2 weeks’ notice will incur a £50 penalty fee. Notice of any cancellations must come before 5pm on the last working day before the two-week cut-off period, or the penalty fee will be raised. If the penalty fee is not paid within the terms and condition of the invoice, Step reserve the right to deduct an equivalent number of hours from the package purchased by the Partner School. 

We will be hosting two Relaxed Step Around Town Sharing, designed to cater specifically to the needs of our SEND groups who may find it difficult to participate in our after school performances. These events are relaxed sharing events for our SEND groups to share what they have been working on with their family and friends as part of our run of Step Around Town events. These sharings differ from the evening Step Around Town events as they run during the school day, are much shorter and are specifically curated to cater to students with additional needs.

Of course, all of our events remain inclusive and we continue to encourage and welcome our SEND groups to attend all of our events, including the alternative Step Around Towns which take place in the evening in several boroughs across London. 

Tickets can be bought in advance via the links in the above table. If still available, tickets can be bought up until the show. However, these events may sell out, so we recommend booking in advance.  

Adult tickets are £4.00 and child tickets are £2.00. A child ticket is for those under the age of 18. All children must be accompanied by an adult to attend. Tickets will be checked before entering the event. 

Seating is still on a first come first serve basis so please ensure you arrive promptly to secure a seat.
