Move-Assure - dance for mental wellbeing

Introducing Move-Assure Mental Wellbeing Coach Training - a brand new member benefit to promote mental wellbeing through dance.

The programme uses dance, evidence-based science and clinical application and was devised by occupational therapist and mental health specialist, Lindsey Lovatt, former principal ballerina with the Royal Ballet Company, founder of DDMiX, and President of the Royal Academy of Dance, Darcey Bussell, and psychologist with a special interest in movement and dance, and author of The Dance Cure, Dr Peter Lovatt.

Move-Assure Mental Wellbeing Coach Training

The training course teaches you how to coach others to manage their mental wellbeing. As a coach, you can support individuals, groups or organisations participating in the Move-Assure Dance for Mental Wellbeing Programme, offering support and wellbeing advice.

The Move-Assure Mental Wellbeing Coach Training Course includes two live 2-hour Zoom lectures, 8 hours of individual Move-Assure Reflective Dance Practice, completion of Introduction to Movement in Practice 5-hour online course and completion of two assessments.

Once trained you will be registered as a Move-Assure Mental Wellbeing Coach and once you have completed the Move-Assure Mental Wellbeing Coach Training Course, you will be entitled to Move-Assure Professional Membership. This could be an added extra for RAD dance teachers wanting to run Move-Assure Coach sessions or to understand mental wellbeing evidence and theory for their work and practice.
