World Ballet Day

We are delighted to be participating in this year’s World Ballet Day, a global celebration of dance. This year’s theme focuses on radical accessibility, inviting audiences to experience ballet in new and accessible ways.
At the RAD, we are pleased to share a dance class from RADiate, our inclusive dance programme for children with special educational needs and disabilities funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and The Kusuma Trust.
Each inclusive dance class is created to respond to the individual needs of the children, with our dance artists working alongside school staff and families to engage and encourage each child using ideas based around a theme. RADiate aims to help develop children’s physicality and boost their self-esteem and self-expression.
This dance class is led by dance artist and RAD teacher, Laura Heywood. Laura is an inspiring dance teacher who exemplifies our belief that dance teachers transform and impact lives for the better.
