This interactive webinar will focus on the development of community in a dance class.

We will look at what we mean by the term “community”, the positive benefits of interactive, community-building methods of teaching, and consider how these methods can be implemented into our own teaching practice. The webinar will give teachers of all stages an opportunity to reflect on their own practice, developing an understanding of how to better cultivate community to benefit teachers and students.

Aims

The aims of this interactive webinar are to:

  • Improve knowledge of “community” as it applies to a dance teaching context, and
  • Equip participants with the knowledge of how to cultivate community within their teaching practice.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the interactive webinar, you will:

  • Have an increased understanding of the significance of community for dance learners,
  • Have gained knowledge of the benefits of inclusive, interactive teaching methods, and
  • Be able to incorporate methods to promote and develop community in your teaching practice.

Platform

You will access the webinar via Zoom. You will receive further information within five working days prior to the start date.

This interactive webinar will not be recorded. If you are booking outside of the UK, please check your time zone against GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
