A new Home for Dance
In January 2017, the Royal Academy of Dance announced plans for a new purpose-built global headquarters, just one mile away from its current location in Battersea, London.
The new building, promises state-of-the-art facilities to enable us to further strengthen our ties with the local community, to meet the ever-growing demands for high quality dance education, and to expand on our commitment to dance teacher training internationally.
In January 2019, our President, Dame Darcey Bussell, joined our Chief Executive, Luke Rittner, to mark a significant construction milestone with the ‘topping out’ ceremony. This step brought us closer to realising our ambition of creating a new home for dance for the next 100 years, following our 2020 Centenary celebrations.
