A new Home of Dance
Our new global headquarters in Battersea, is a £19.5 million project, of which we have already raised almost £18 million. We are fundraising for the final, but crucial, £1.5 million to meet our target. The building is the new home for the Royal Academy of Dance, as well as a ‘home of dance’ locally and internationally.
Our new building provides us with enhanced education and training facilities for our students and teachers; a long wished for performance space – a 193 seat studio theatre to showcase our exceptional talent; and the new Wolfson Library and archive to house and display our collection of books, programmes, letters, photographs, relics and costumes. Through our cultural engagement plan, we will increase our work in communities through our growing programme of outreach and wellbeing initiatives.
"“The doors of our new home will be open to everyone. From our neighbourhood community in Wandsworth to our worldwide membership, our new headquarters will be a place to learn, perform, teach and inspire. In short, a home of dance.” "Luke Rittner – CEO, Royal Academy of Dance

"I think having room to move, room to expand, room to develop, it's an inspiration and people will come up with all sorts of wonderful ideas. I think the new building is going to be an inspiration for everyone."Dame Monica Mason - RAD Vice President and Former Director of The Royal Ballet
