RAD NZ: Silver Swans Workshop Days – WELLINGTON

A former Principal dancer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, Anne Anderson toured internationally, performing iconic roles such as Juliet, Odette/Odile, Giselle, and Cinderella. Her career highlights include a sabbatical in New York during the International Dance Festival, which deeply inspired her artistic journey.

Anne has extensive experience as a tutor and choreographer, formerly coordinating the Commercial Dance Course and now working freelance with institutions such as the New Zealand School of Dance, Chilton Ballet Academy, and the NZSD Associate Programme. SVivencio, (Jun as he is also known by), trained in Manila, Philippines and danced professionally with the Philippine Ballet Theatre. He later joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet Company and performed classical, neo-classical, and contemporary works in Australasia, Europe, America, and Asia for twenty years as a soloist and principal.
He received his Fellowship degree with distinction under the International Dance Teachers’ Association UK and is a RAD Registered Teacher. He has an Adult and Tertiary Teaching qualification through the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand.

He also teaches at the New Zealand School of Dance and the Chilton Ballet Academy. He has taught adjudicated classes at the Alana Haines Australasian Awards and was an artistic judge at The Royal Academy of Dance Solo Seal Award. Jun holds Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue NZ titles and continues to train and dance competitively. He has been teaching Classical Ballet, Pilates and Dance Styles for the Commercial Dance and Musical Theatre courses for over ten years and has a passion for mentoring and passing on his knowledge.he regularly adjudicates competitions and has taught at the Alana Haines Awards.

Passionate about sharing her knowledge, Anne also teaches ballet to rhythmic gymnasts and continues to assess and tutor full-time students. Outside of dance, she enjoys working with animals, walking her dog, and supporting the arts with her husband Peter and their daughter Emily—who also works professionally in the performing arts.

For Emma, dance is true fulfilment. She began training in ballet and jazz in Lower Hutt and progressed into full-time dance training in Melbourne, Australia where she was able to connect with a variety of experts in the field of contemporary and commercial dance.
Highlights from her performing career include various music videos, live events, and short films with artists such as Kimbra and Delta Goodrem. Since returning to New Zealand Emma has focused on expanding her teaching technique to involve effective, safe, and practical knowledge to share with her students. Currently Emma teaches commercial jazz, contemporary, audition technique and conditioning on the Commercial Dance course at Te Auaha. Emma is certified in Barre Fitness, TRX Suspension Training, Aerial Yoga, Progressing Ballet Technique and Pilates Stick. Emma is excited to teach at the RAD Summer School and is looking forward to helping students push their performance boundaries

Frankie began dancing at the age of 5 at Paula Hunt Dance Studios in Wellington. She was accepted into the NZSD Junior Associates programme and continued on to study Contemporary full time at the School, graduating in 2012.
She was lucky enough to perform in a variety of shows such as WOW, the Wellington Musical Theatre production of Mamma Mia and a few local Fringe shows in Auckland and Wellington. Recently Frankie lived in London working at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and also received her Barre Fitness training whilst over there.
She is also a certified yoga and aerial yoga instructor. Frankie is looking forward to teaching at the RAD Summer School as she thoroughly enjoyed her time at previous Summer Schools as a student

• Ballet shoes will be required when dancing on the tarkett floor, these shoes must be clean and are not to be worn outside of studios.
