Benesh International Member
Benesh Movement Notation (BMN) is a system for documenting human movement.
We support the dance community by guarding choreographic copyrights, educating upcoming choreologists, and nurturing the BMN community.
RAD Student
If you’re studying on a Faculty of Education programme, then you’re entitled to free Student Membership while you study.
You can upgrade to RAD Member Plus at any time in your studies at a reduced rate.
RAD Life Member
To qualify for Life Membership you must have held at least 42 years of full membership and have passed your RAD Advanced 1 Vocational Graded Examination (previously the Intermediate Major Examination).
Life membership begins following the completion of your 42nd year of full membership.

What is it?
Our Global Job Board is an online listing for dance-related opportunities around the globe. There are no entry requirements to advertise, however, only our members can view and apply for listings.
Where to find it
It is accessed by members globally via our exclusive Members’ Area. Advertising is free to both members and non-members of the RAD, it provides you with direct access to your ideal target audience – members of the RAD who are actively seeking employment.

What are the RAD Membership categories?
We have several levels of membership and will find the right one for you:
Whether you’re a ballet beginner or have danced for decades, RAD membership category to suit you. With our reduced rates and rolling membership, you can join at any time.
We offer five types of membership: RAD Member, RAD Member Plus, RAD Registered Teacher membership, RAD Teacher membership and Faculty of Education Student Membership.
I can’t afford my RAD membership – can you offer any help towards payment?
We have several options available to those if you are experiencing financial difficulty and are worried about making your subscription payment. Teaching members can apply for the Teachers’ Support Fund, which will cover 25% of the subscription fee.
We can also offer other flexible payment options for our members to ease the financial burden, contact membership@rad.org.uk to see how we can help.
I live in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the USA. How do I apply for membership?
You will need to contact your local office which will be able to send you an application form . Visit our international contact pages for more information.
I have qualified as a teacher, am I eligible for Registered Teacher membership?
More information is available on the RAD Registered Teacher page to verify that the programme you have completed gives eligibility. If you are eligible, simply complete our online application form.

How do I access the online Member’s Area?
Simply go to the Login/Register button on the website, then enter your Username and Password.
You must be a fully paid RAD member to view content in the Members’ Area. If you can’t remember your login details you can request your forgotten username or password on the login page.
